Dumb Luck! | Divers Green + Morphic + Dorodango

Dumb Luck! is a night of alt-rock and all its styles: post-punk, noise, dream-pop, shoegaze, grunge, metalcore, whatever. Three bands, with new music DJed before, between and after them. Divers Green - Instagram Hard rock/punk/grunge. A raw hard rock band from Barrow-in-Furness, walking the lines between punk rock and melodic grunge. Morphic - Instagram Alt-rock. A four piece alternative rock band from Leeds, combining heavy riffs and wide sonic soundscapes. Dorodango - Instagram Experimental/progressive rock. A three-piece experimental rock band from the West Yorkshire/Leeds area (bass, drums and guitar/vocals), combining heavy, hard-hitting riffs with complex rhythmic ideas, inspired by the likes of King Crimson, Black Midi, John Coltrane, Tool and Kyuss. Doors 7.30pm, finish 11pm.

Funk Jam X Wavio

Funk Jam is heading into town for Funk Jam X Wavio, with Wavio Records and some of their roster at Wavio Room on Wednesday 21st October. A more hip-hop leaning version of the Funk Jam we run every two months at The Vinyl Whistle , somewhere between a jam, a gig and an open mic. We bring drums, bass amp, guitar amp, keys and a house band to kick it all off. You bring your instruments, your voices and a positive attitude, and we go from there. Everyone gets a couple of tunes. If you're a band already, go on as a band... or else we'll keep making little lineups all night until everyone has had at least one turn. Come down, listen, jump on another lineup, or jam. The Joint is a weekly night at Sela Bar entirely run by (paid) student promoters, creating line-ups from their own local scene... so if you want to hear the best, newest local acts, you can drop into Sela any given Tuesday and hear & see something super fresh. Third Tuesdays are run by Haeun Kang, University of Leeds. Line-up is Jack Preston Quartet and Conrad Clenton Quartet. Doors are £5 or PAYF each week for 2 acts - the night runs from 7ish to 10.30ish. Always NOTAFLOF.

Welcome to our monthly night at The Fox & Newt… it’s called Patches. Presented by Not a thing. Events . It’s an open genre night with performances by three local acts, some new and upcoming, some already well known. No matter how loud a night it is, whether it’s seating, pit or dancing, we want it to be the closest to the band you’re ever going to get. Doors 8pm, music 8-10pm – £6 advance or £8 on the door. This Month… Box Wine – Instagram Alt rock. A four piece female led band from Manchester, looking to spread out from there, share what they love and support great musicians and the messages they portray. A lot of their influence comes from bands like Death From Above 1979, cleopatrick and Royal Blood. hog! – Instagram Stoner garage punk. Trio (occasionally duo) hailing from Leeds. Loud stoner garage punky explosion. Danneh Gleave – Instagram Sad emo alt rock. An emotional artist who creatively blends elements of indie, alternative, rock, emo, and rap to create a sound that is deeply personal.

Indie rock songwriter from Kent, inspired by The Last Shadow Puppets & Northern Soul, Tom Fleur is making a well overdue appearance in Leeds. His songs explore deeply moving topics in a dreamy and atmospheric style, a perfect foundation for our second band of the night; After Midnight . After Midnight merge amongst our very streets of Leeds, blending indie rock with post hardcore. After Midnight consist of explosive vocals, harmonious guitar melodies, thunderous drums and meaningful lyrics. Debuting at Royal Park Cellars and selling out Oporto soon after, After Midnight will close the night in memorable fashion. Be there or be square! Stay tuned for future Tuesday gigs. K x

They recently played at WOH over the summer and are now making there way around the venues of Leeds, bringing there grooves and astounding stage presence all across the city! THE MILO NIXON QUARTET !!! Bringing it back to the classics with a contemporary twist, Milo Nixon a brilliant male jazz singer who is making his way up through the jazz scene of Leeds is accompanied by his wonderful band showing off there own takes on the more traditional side of jazz, get ready for some brilliant trad and jaw dropping solos! 🎉 Doors are £5 or PAYF each week for 2 acts, all money goes directly to the artists and is split equally - the night runs from 7 to 10.30ish. Somewhere between a jam, a gig and an open-mic night, for funk and funk adjacent music only… Doors at 7pm, all done by 11pm… FREE ENTRY all night long. What we provide Drums, bass amp, guitar amp, keys and a stand, plus a selection of mics for vocals, horns, rappers and whatever else turns up. The House Band kick things off (and close it down). What you bring Your instruments, your voice and a positive attitude. We go from there. How it works Everyone plays 2 tunes. Bands go on as ‘a set’, but everyone else it’s closest to the stage next. Potchky celebrate the release of their debut single “Dandelion”, recorded at Yorkshire’s own Chairworks in Castleford, with a headline show at Oporto. Joined by Muntjacs and Muskie. Potchky – Instagram Spilling out of the Leeds alternative circuit, Potchky is a cryptic, frenetic project characterised by a vast dynamic range, frantic stage presence and a melting pot of rock and ambient shoegaze. Expect huge sways of intimate vocals punctuated with ambient guitar textures, interrupted by searing distorted choruses and swarms of feedback. Muntjacs – Instagram Expect high energy from Muntjacs. Mesmerizing structures and driving rhythms, the four piece alt rock outfit have received praise for the grit and introspection of their music. Hailing from Leeds, they bring a rich blend of post rock, indie and shoegaze. Muskie – Instagram Muskie combines folk and midwest emo influenced guitar playing with ambient textures, and introspective songwriting. Friday 25th September 2026 Bold as Brass Our bi-monthly live music night returns to Hyde Park Book Club. Lineup Lunchtime Heroes (Neo-Soul / Alt R&B / Indie) A rising neo-soul four-piece from London, named after the snatched moments they find to rehearse and write. They blend smooth R&B melodies with modern grooves, drawing on Ezra Collective, Feng Suave, John Mayer, Oscar Jerome and Vulfpeck. Warm, vocal-led and built on expressive, laid-back hooks. Daisy Dalby (Singer-Songwriter / Indie Folk Pop) A singer-songwriter and actor based in Leeds, originally from Cheltenham, with two singles out and a debut EP on the way. Her music pairs soft pop and indie folk with deeply personal lyrics, acoustic-led melodies and raw, vulnerable vocals, in the storytelling tradition of Lizzy McAlpine, Gracie Abrams and Olivia Rodrigo. Elefem (R&B / Soul) Romantic, northern, introspective. Manchester-born and Leeds-based, Elefem blends R&B and soul with a modern edge, honed across Leeds rooms including The Domino Club, Headrow House and Hyde Park Book Club, plus an appearance on DJ AG’s platform. She spent 2025 releasing four singles and collaborating with artists including Jamettone and Yelah. MAAME & The Midnights (Soul / Pop / R&B) An independent Leeds artist carving out an honest, emotionally driven space in music, blending pop, soul, R&B and ballads. Her voice was shaped in Margate, where she sang with the Social Singing Choir and the Institute Collective Choir and played Dreamland and POW Festival. Recent singles include Beautiful, Ego Tripping and Daydreaming.
