The Joint is a weekly night at Sela Bar entirely run by (paid) student promoters, creating line-ups from their own local scene! So if you want to hear the best, newest local acts, you can drop into Sela any given Tuesday and hear & see something fresh and jazzy !

First Tuesdays are run by Theo Stewart, Leeds Conservatoire. The first 2 bands will be:

SHADOW AND THE SOL!!! an upcoming Jazz, Soul, Rap collective, led by the jazz singer/rapper... Shadow!! They recently played at WOH over the summer and are now making there way around the venues of Leeds, bringing there grooves and astounding stage presence all across the city!

THE MILO NIXON QUARTET !!! Bringing it back to the classics with a contemporary twist, Milo Nixon a brilliant male jazz singer who is making his way up through the jazz scene of Leeds is accompanied by his wonderful band showing off there own takes on the more traditional side of jazz, get ready for some brilliant trad and jaw dropping solos! 🎉

Doors are £5 or PAYF each week for 2 acts, all money goes directly to the artists and is split equally - the night runs from 7 to 10.30ish. Always NOTAFLOF.
